What’s up in Munich This Weekend 4-6 August

It is the first weekend of August and August brings a lot of festivals to the city.  Some of them start this weekend!

Friday – Sunday: Theatron and Impark Summer Festivals

Theatron and Impark festivals have started! Both festivals take place in Olympiapark. Theatron is a free music festival and Impark is the summer festival with food stalls, beer garden, a little amusement park with a Ferris wheel and a beach bar. Read more.

Friday – Sunday: Pasing Folk Festival

This is a little Oktoberfest, a month before the Oktoberfest. In Pasing there is a festival tent with live music, a market street, food stalls and fun rides. Read more.

Friday – Sunday: Music Sessions Summer Festival

Munich Session Summer Festival is a 3-day-long of open air music festival at Rindermarkt. Read more.

Friday 17:00 – 23:00: Hall of Taste Street Food Market

Saturday 18:30 – 23:30: Weihenstephaner Bergfest

Weihenstephan Brewery is inviting us to its traditional Bergfest in the courtyard of the brewery in Freising. Read more.

Saturday 19:00  & Sunday 15:00: William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night

Entity Theatre, International English-language theatre club is performing Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night at the Theatron Westpark for the last time this summer.  Read more.

Sunday 14:00 – 18:00: egoFM Inflatable Boat Session

egoFM will be bringing 50 inflatable boats, so you can just hop on a boat and float on the Olympia Lake and enjoy a laid back, fun Sunday. Read more.

Auer Dult continues only till Sunday.

Check Kulturstrand frequently because there is a lot going on there, concerts, exhibitions, events…

Viehhof Kino Culture Festival has a mixed program of concerts, acts and open air cinema which is mostly in German.

Cinema by the Olympia Lake and Kino Mond & Sterne offer an open air cinema experience, films are mostly in German but there are occasionally original voice ones as well.
